John Denver, a singer-songwriter from Colorado who specialized in folk music, touched the hearts of millions. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr., born Henry John Deutschendorf at Roswell near New Mexico fell in love with Colorado. The place he settled was Aspen. Denver's state anthems have inspired many to visit Colorado. G. Brown of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame declares the fact that John Denver is unlike any other musician who represents Colorado. Denver became the first Hall of Fame inductee in the year 2011. Denver has been the symbol of Colorado to the many people across the globe. In my travels I've had the pleasure of meeting people from New Zealand or the other side. When you tell them you're from Colorado, the first words they'll say is Oh John Denver. Brown stated. Take Me Home Country Roads written by Bill Danoff and Denver after his brief career in folk groups and was his debut Top 10 solo hit. Danoff composed the track in conjunction with Johnny Cash in mind but the moment Denver heard an early version immediately, he realized it was destined to be an instant hit. The song was recorded just a few weeks after it was performed in Washington D.C. performance.
