Aisling Bea

Aisling was born March 16 1984, on the island of Kildare Ireland. She is one of Ireland's most successful and popular comedians. The comedian has appeared on QI alongside Stephen Fry. Aisling Cliodhnadh (born 16 March, 1984) is a stand-up comedian and actress from Ireland. Bea's professional career started in 2011 as a comedian following her appearance in a few parts on Irish and British television shows beginning in 2009. From 2012 on, Bea was appearing on sketch comedy shows or sitcoms. In 2012, following her won an award at Edinburgh Comedy Awards (ECA) and began to be featured often in various panel programs. She has been a part of 8 Out of 10 Cats since 2016, and she's one of the most popular contestants on the show's sister show 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. The parents of her include Brian as well as Helen O'Sullivan. She has one younger sister, Sinead. In 2012, she was the second woman to ever win the So You Think You're Funny award. Bea the name she was given as her maiden name, pays tribute to her late dad. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan is the daughter of a Kildare woman who was born in Kildare. Born on the 16th of March, 1984. Bea's father Brian passed away at the age of three. He was a horse vet. Bea wasn't told the particulars of his death away until she turned 13. She chose the stage name Bea to honor her late father. She also wrote an article for The Guardian on her family's suicide story. Bea along with her younger sister Sinead were raised by their mother Helen (nee Moloney) a secondary school teacher and jockey trainer, as well as a professional jockey for a time. Their family was in love with horses and race meetings. Bea had a job as an instructor in the Irish National Stud. From a very young age, Bea knew that she didn't want a racing career. Instead she loved the performing arts.
